There is no single “best” stand — each is designed for a specific use case. The right choice comes down to a few factors:
- How you plan to use the therapy: sitting, standing, or lying down
- The size and number of panels you plan to use (one, two, or up to four)
- Whether you need mobility, a fixed wall mount, or a freestanding solution
- The space available in your home, treatment room, or facility

Our horizontal rack systems are engineered for horizontal applications. The vertical orientation is intended for compact storage between sessions, not for active use. Some customers do use them vertically without issue, but we don't guarantee positioning comfort in that configuration, as the stand's base can interfere depending on panel size and user height.
If vertical application is your primary use case, the Mobile Rack Stand, Mobile Floor Stand, and XL Mobile Floor Stand are purpose-built for vertical positioning and will give you a better experience.
A note on competing products: most horizontal stands sold by other companies are direct copies of our original design, so the same guidance applies to those stands as well.
Yes. The Mobile Floor Stand is currently the only stand option compatible with our BIO series lights. It will hold a single BIO panel in a fully upright position and provides a flexible, mobile solution for home use.
Most of our mounting systems are designed for straightforward assembly with the included hardware and instructions. The smaller stands — Tabletop, Wall Bracket, and Mobile Floor Stand — can be assembled by one person in with minimal time and effort.
For the larger rack systems, particularly the Horizontal Stand and the XL Motorized Horizontal Stand, we recommend having a second person on hand to help lift the panels into position once the frame is assembled. Adjusting the height on the manual horizontal stand with two large panels mounted is also easier as a two-person task.

For shipping efficiency and to keep freight costs reasonable — particularly for our international customers — our larger rack systems are shipped flat-packed and ready for assembly. All required hardware and instructions are included in the box. The smaller items (Tabletop Stand, Wall Bracket, Mobile Floor Stand) ship in compact packaging with minimal assembly required.
